It All Begins With You

Maureen sits in a chair at the dining table near the front window. She knows that her meal will be arriving soon and she waits patiently, watching each car pass. Today is Thursday, and Jim and Patti (Meals on Wheels runner and driver) are finishing up their deliveries at Cabana Court and will be headed to Maureen's to deliver her hot meal. Maureen has been receiving Meals on Wheels for awhile now. She lives alone, and her grown children do not live nearby. Maureen depends on these meals and the milk that she receives to provide for her daily nutrition. But her favorite part she says, is the social interaction that she gets with the runners and drivers.
